Italian speaker will open the annual architect Conference AZA 2016.

The ISTITUTO ITALIANO DI CULTURA in Pretoria is proud to bring the Italian Architect Matilde Cassani as the keynote speaker who will open the AZA Conference 2016 on September the 1st , at 9:15am with a talk on ‘Architecture as context’.
AZA16 is the 6th annual South African architecture conference presented by the South African Institute of Architects (SAIA) and proudly sponsored by PPC Cement.
AZA16 is a three-day architecture and design festival, lasting from Sept. 1st to 3rd, showcasing six international and 20 local speakers, over and above workshop and tour leaders. This year it is hosted by the Architecture and Planning of the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) on its Braamfontein, Johannesburg campus and surrounds.

Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation instituted the “Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award” in the year 2017 to recognize an Italian eminent scientist who, in performing his/her research abroad, has made a remarkable contribution to the advancement of science and technology, thus improving Italy’s S&T relations with foreign countries and with International Organizations.
